From Yogyakarta: One Day Mount Hike Merbabu

Watch the sunrise from the top of Mount Merbabu on a guided 1 day hike trip from Yogyakarta. Wonderful landscapes take in the views of 7 summit of Java and the most active vulcano in Indonesia Merapi. 

Itinerary: 

Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Yogyakarta at night and drive to the Basecamp Selo village. Meet your guide and get ready for your hike to the Klenteng Songo peak. Begin your ascent in the dark, following your guide up the mountain. After 5-6 hours of hiking, reach the summit and enjoy a simple breakfast as you watch the sunrise over the surrounding landscape. After breakfast, begin your descent back to the basecamp. Once you reach the basecamp, pack up your gear and meet your driver for the return journey to Yogyakarta.

For sunrise trip starts with a pickup from Yogyakarta at 22:00PM 
Approximately 2 hours drive to Basecamp Selo village 
Hiking starts at midnight and takes about 5-6 hours to reach the peak 
Return hike takes about 3-5 hours 
Activity concludes at Basecamp between 10:00-11:00AM 
 

For Mount Merbabu hike (with out sunrise) starts with a pickup from Yogyakarta at 06:00AM
