Day 1 — Arrival • River Journey into the Rainforest • Overnight on Klotok

Your adventure begins with a warm welcome at Pangkalan Bun Airport, followed by a scenic drive to Kumai Port where your private klotok boat awaits.

Once onboard, cruise gently along the river into Tanjung Puting National Park, surrounded by dense tropical forest. Enjoy freshly prepared lunch while the jungle landscape unfolds around you.

In the afternoon, visit the first orangutan feeding station to witness these incredible primates up close. Continue cruising while keeping an eye out for wildlife along the riverbanks. Dinner is served onboard, and you’ll spend your first night sleeping comfortably in your cabin with mosquito netting, accompanied by the sounds of the rainforest.

Day 2 — Cultural Insight • Camp Leakey Exploration • Jungle Evening

Wake up to the peaceful atmosphere of the river and enjoy breakfast onboard. This morning, you may choose to stop at a riverside village to observe local life and gain insight into the region, including discussions about palm oil and conservation.

Return to the boat for lunch as you travel deeper into the park. In the afternoon, arrive at the renowned Camp Leakey, one of the oldest orangutan research sites in the world, where you’ll have the chance to observe orangutans in their natural habitat.

Afterward, cruise back downriver, relax on deck, and enjoy dinner onboard. Spend the night surrounded by the calming sounds of the jungle.

Day 3 — Pondok Tanggui • River Wildlife • Departure

After breakfast, head to Pondok Tanggui to watch the morning feeding session and observe young orangutans in the forest.

Begin your return journey by boat, taking in the rich biodiversity along the river one last time. Upon arrival at Kumai Port, transfer back to the airport for your onward flight.
